Social issues: This is where I stand on the following social issues.
- I believe the decision to have a abortion is between a women and her doctor, not elected officials

support same-sex unions and/ or the legalization of same-sex marriage. I
believe same-sex couples should have the same rights as heterosexual
couples. I believe the GLBT community should be protected from bullying
and discrimination through hate-crime laws just as other minority
groups.
- I support the right to gun ownership and the right for the individual to protect him or herself.
- I support legalizing, taxing and regulating Marijuana. I support rehabilitation instead of incarceration for drug offenders.
Taxes: I support a mix of tax reforms to ease the burden of businesses while closing the gap on the 5 billion dollar budget deficit.
- I support a income tax increase and/or creating a new tax bracket on the wealthy 2% of income earners.
- I support expanding the sales tax to including clothing and food to fill in the budget deficit.
- I support a cap on all property taxes to prevent further burden on homeowners and businesses.
- I support tax incentives to businesses that create green jobs and develop alternative energy sources.
Education: I support key reforms in education to allow everyone get access to quality, instead of one-size fits all education.

- I support funding for universal pre-k education to help pre-schoolers prepare for grade school learning.
- I support increase funding for K-12 and after-school programs
- I support expanding state financial aid assistance to give all college students a opportunity at a quality education
Health Care: I support common-sense reforms to healthcare to give everyone access, create competition and lower costs.

support a transportation policy that suits the needs of the developing
communities here in Scott County while being cost effective.

- I support highway projects that ease congestion and shorten commutes to the Twin Cities
- I support the expansion of light-rail across the metropolitan area
Labor: I believe we need to protect the quality of life for poor and middle class families.

at a stable income and the ability to support their families.

unions provides a voice to lower and middle class workers to bargain for
better wages and conditions.

Government Reform: I support policies of reform to the state legislature to preserve public service and create efficient government.
